If you can see, you can photograph. However, learning to see can take time.

For me, there is not “the” one genre in photography in particular, that I dedicate myself to. What I see (photographically) depends on multiple factors – on what’s dominating my mind at that moment, what occupies me emotionally. The diversity in my portfolio certainly reflects this. My photos are characterized by things that fascinate me – but also by people who play an important role in my life. And that always influences the way I perceive things. Because we all grow and change – throughout our lives, constantly. And that changes what and how we see.
Of course, it’s something special when a photo wins the attention of the judges in a competition, but that’s not the reason I go out with my cameras. I document in pictures what I experience, feel, and of course see – often daily, the camera is always in my pocket, but sometimes the smartphone does the trick. Practice makes perfect, as we all know.
The fact that perhaps only a few of my photos can stand up to the discerning, photographically trained eye is of secondary importance. That’s not why I take photos. My goal is to get better and better in my own photography process – so that my photos express my emotions better and tell a good story.
If any of the pictures in my portfolio particularly appeal to you, I would be delighted to hear from you. Why don’t you write me which one you like and why 😉!
