My photographic journey:
My passion for photography began in my childhood, already during my school years. At that time, it was primarily curiosity that drove me—to capture special moments and experiences, especially while traveling. Around 1988, I held my first SLR camera in my hands, which marked an important milestone in my photographic development.
With technological progress, I eventually made the transition to a digital SLR camera in 2005. This allowed me to engage more deeply with photography and explore new creative approaches. Over the years, my focus has continued to evolve: initially, capturing impressions and memories was my main priority, but over time I developed a particular fascination for nature and landscape photography.
Another key focus of my work today is macro and bird photography. Macro photography, in particular, continues to inspire me, as it reveals structures and details that often remain hidden from the naked eye. Photography is not only a creative outlet for me, but also a form of relaxation—it brings me outdoors, closer to nature, and adds movement to everyday life.
My photographic philosophy:
The photographer Sebastião Salgado once said that good shoes are more important for a photographer than a good camera—because they allow you to reach your subjects, connect with them, and build a relationship. His statement emphasizes that while good equipment matters, it is ultimately the willingness to walk the path and invest time in understanding the subjects and their stories that truly makes the difference.
